Cookies and storage
Last updated October 22, 2026
- We use only what the sites and the service need to work. There are no advertising, analytics or social-media trackers on screenwick.com or lotterywick.com.
- Your theme, reading settings and privacy choice are kept in your own browser, not sent to us.
- You can see and change your choice any time with Privacy choices, the shield on the right of every page.
What a cookie and browser storage are
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Browser storage (localStorage) is similar but stays in your browser and is never sent to the website automatically. We use both, only for the purposes below.
On screenwick.com and lotterywick.com
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
ida_flash | Cookie, essential | Protects the contact, demo and early-access forms against forgery and shows the "message sent" note. | Until you close the browser |
sw_ref | Cookie, referral | Set only when you arrive through a partner's or affiliate's referral link, so they get credit if you sign up. It holds the referral code, nothing about you. | 30 days |
sw_preview | Cookie, owner only | Lets our own team see the full site before launch. Never set for visitors. | 30 days |
sw-theme | Browser storage | Your light, dark or system theme. | Until you change it or clear your browser |
sw-a11y | Browser storage | Your reading and comfort settings (text size, contrast, motion and similar). | Until you reset them or clear your browser |
sw-consent | Browser storage | Your privacy choice and when you saved it. | 12 months, then we ask again |
In the dashboard (screenwick.app)
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
ida_session | Cookie, essential | Keeps you signed in. It holds a random id; your identity stays on our server. | Until you sign out or close the browser; up to 14 days with "keep me signed in" |
ida_flash | Cookie, essential | Protects every form against forgery and carries one-time messages. | Until you close the browser |
sw-theme, sw-side | Browser storage | Your theme and whether the side menu is pinned. | Until you change them |
lw-scanner-mode, lw-sell-last | Browser storage | LotteryWick: whether a barcode scanner is in use on this computer, and the last slot used per game, to save taps. | Until you change them |
On the TV player (screenwick.tv)
A paired screen keeps its device key, its playlist and the media it plays in the device's own storage, so it keeps playing when the internet drops. It does not store anything about the people walking past the screen. Unpairing the screen in the dashboard stops it; clearing the app's data removes everything.
The privacy panel
Privacy choices has four categories. Essential storage is always on because the sites cannot remember your settings without it. Optional personalization, Analytics and Marketing & social media are off unless you turn them on, and today no service in those categories is installed, so turning them on changes nothing yet. If we ever add one, it will be listed here first and will not run until you allow its category.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to keep optional categories off.
What we do not use
No advertising or retargeting pixels, no third-party analytics, no session recording, no fingerprinting, and no selling or sharing of browsing data. Payments open on Stripe's own pages, which set their own cookies under Stripe's policy.
Clearing or blocking
You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the essential cookies stops the forms and sign-in from working; everything else on the websites still works.
